Day: 33 and 34- Garage Organization
Day 33 and 34: Garage shelves
When I sat down to write out my #organizemein40days list, I knew the garage would be a bigger task. Quite scary actually. As long as we can pull in 2 vehicles it goes neglected. In reality 2 days for our garage was never going to be enough but it’s a start.
I would describe our garage a bit like a store where everything is free... if you guess the right bin. 😂😂😂 10 years ago, when we moved (combined our lives) I was pregnant and very sick. We basically moved in bins that were just dump zones. I DO NOT SUGGEST THIS. We were young and silly. Ha It wasn’t a great system and I’m still paying for it today. Just as the memorabilia took years to build up it takes time to see results. This is an ongoing project for me in our ONLY storage space. I try not to use the inside of our home as storage and attics are where things go to melt in Az. I will continue to share more as things roll out- literally. Focusing on the positive, this is the last place that needs to be decluttered- everything else is done!!! 🙌🙌🙌 .
One thing I DO have figured out is how I store Christmas decor (day: 1). I finally have all matching bins that I basically stole after Christmas. They don’t need labels but it would be easy to add them.
Ok... this is by far my hardest share. This before pic was taken 2 days after Christmas.
And if you made it this far... stay tuned because I’m going to post the before video of our garage in my stories. 😆
There is no point in hiding real life stuff, pro organizer or not. If anything putting the hard stuff out there for others to see can be so helpful in our journey and their own journey to decluttering! We are all “flawed”! ✨
